Artical One says that "everyone is born to be free and equal" But for Martha, Freedom was a struggle for her.H er parents were Religious, no music, no proper clothes and more that Martha hated. She wanted to be free from her religion, and she was not the only one that was trapped by her parents. This makes the reader feel sympathy towards Martha and Jim because It would be hard living a caged or a poor life.
Jim was trapped for 7 years by martha's parents, They even called him "Abomination". This is another breach of artical one, He wants freedom but he can't.So Abomination (Robert Swindell) Had deminstraited about article one and how the freedom of article one was broken
