What is

FLIGHT

Aim: To learn about flight and aerodynamics.

  • In your groups of 3, you will make a paper plane and measure its distance and behavior.
  • In groups of 3, you will make a water rocket and record its distance and behavior.

Definition:

4 forces of flight:

  1. Gravity
  2. Thrust
  3. Lift
  4. drag

4 metersStraight line.

Conclusion: The smoother the plane is the more speed it go's.
The paper plane that was normal flew 5 meters in a Smooth, Straight line.

The paper plane that had ailerons flew 3 meters in a Surved line

The paper plane that had a paper clip flew 4 meters in a Straight line

10 household ingedients

Aim: To learn the names of 10 household chemicals and identify if they are a solid, liquid or a gas.

Definitions:

  1. Element; A single form of a chemical
  2. Compound: A mixture made up of 2 or more elements
  3. Reaction: A process in which chemicals mix together to form a new substance.
  4. Mixture: When two or more elements are mixed together.

Equipment:

  1.   Salt
  2.   Sugar
  3.   Lemon juice
  4.   Onion gas
  5.   Milk
Steps:

1.
2.
3.
4.

Repeat the steps for all the chemicals.

Task 1: Put the 10 chemicals in a chart with the titles - Name, Chemical ingredient(s), Image, Solid/Liquid/Gas.

How to do (BALLOON CHEMISTRY) science style

BALLOON CHEMISTRY

Aim: To see which chemical
mix creates the most gas.

Hypothesis: it will make pressure in the cup/balloon that make it blow up

Materials:
  1. Yeast
  2. sugar
  3. Baking soda
  4.  vinegar
  5.  table salt
  6.  lemonade soda
Steps:
  1.  Put baking soda in a soft drink bottle
  2.  use a funnel on and put vinegar in the bottle as well
  3.  quickly put balloon on the top of the bottle
  4.  watch the balloon rise up
  5.  The end
  6.
My images:

Findings:

Balloon 1
( 3 tsp baking soda, ½ cup vinegar)
Balloon 2
( 3 tsp salt, ½ cup soda)
Balloon 3
( 2 tsp yeast, 1 tsp sugar )
Balloon Size (cm)

Cyber bulling

CYBER BULLING

Me,Harry,Issac and Corbyn made a story about cyber bulling.

We did our story board of what our movie is going to be about. This is a photo of our storyboard so far.

We got some feedback of our storyboard from another group:
  • I liked how you drew it step by step, once or multiple times
  • What I think you can improve is tom describe more clearly
  • What is happening in the picture
  • Other than that everything is ok!
